27th - 28th May 2007
After a couple of weeks of gorgeous, sunny May weather. We had high hopes for a lovely weekend for the Sheffield Mayfest. Unfortunately it was not to be. While we managed to setup and take down out equipment in relatively mild weather, the two days of the event were marred by virtually non-stop rain.
Although the sun appeared for a couple of hours on Monday afternoon and we were able to open, we had to remain closed on Sunday for safety reasons. We're very sorry if you came along to have a go and were disappointed. We hope that we will be invited back next year and that the weather will be more favourable!
The Sheffield Mayfest was held on Sunday 27th and Monday 28th May (the May bank holiday weekend) at the Don Valley Bowl.
Although the rain hampered many of the activities, there was lots on offer, including a rodeo bull, displays by the army, lots of local food stalls and a fairground.
